On our way home to Utah, we stopped in Lake Tahoe and met up with Brandon's cousin, Ben. All of my brothers went too, so we decided to take pictures with all the cousin's. Brandon thought it would be great fun to test out the cold water, so we had to take a video!
We went to Stintson Beach on Amy's 1st birthday and she had so much fun! Dirt and water in one place! Samantha had a great time building a sandcastle with her daddy and cousin, Alan. It was a fabulous day, oh, aside from the fact the Amy tried to eat the sand!
After Sea World, we went to find a beach to watch the sunset. Isn't Brandon hot?
On our 2nd day at San Diego, we went to Sea World, which is a way more glorified version of Marine World, but without the rollercoasters. There were 6 killer whales and they put on a great show. We also found a little place called Coco Loco's, which we had to take a picture of because Brandon's dad used to tell him Coco Loco stories when he was growing up, and now Brandon tells them to Samantha. We also went on the one ride they had called Atlantis and darn if it didn't break down right when we were stuck underneath a waterfall. We were getting soaked while we were waiting for them to fix it and eventually they had to help us out of the boat. We were soaking wet, but it sure felt good in the hot sun!
Brandon won a trip last year and it was about to expire, so we decided to leave the kids with my mom for a couple days and escape to San Diego. The first day we went to the Wild Animal Park and saw all kinds of wildlife up close. It was pretty cool, but the weather was HOT!
We went to Marine World, which is now 6 Flags Discovery Kingdom, when we went on vacation to California this last summer. Samantha loved Shuka, the whale, and Merlin, the dolphin. There were all kinds of animals and rollercoasters and it was a VERY hot day, but everyone had a blast. I think Brandon liked the dolphins even more than Samantha!
