Cornbelly's

We went to Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point with our neighbors, Kevin & Amanda and their little boy, Tyler. It was opening weekend and was super hot for September, but we still had fun.

Ma and Pa.
Little pumpkin maze.
They had a section called Pumpkin Princess where little girls could pick out a dress-up and get in a pumpkin carriage. The girls absolutely loved it!

Driving the carriage.
Samantha and Amy sitting side saddle on the horse. Brandon told them that's what princesses do!

Jumping on the huge jumping pillows.

Samantha catching some air.
Daddy and Hallie going for a jump.

Make your own sno-cone. All the syrup you could want. Yummy.
We didn't last too long in the corn maze. Brandon isn't the biggest fan of getting lost, so we went a little ways, and then turned around. Oh well.
After 3 hours, Amy wasn't about to smile for the camera any more!
So here's one of Samantha and Hallie with her cheesy face. It was so much fun and now I am super excited for fall. The mountains are turning red, so be expecting more pictures to come!

Every Little Girl's Right of Passage

The girl's started dance class on Monday and they are in LOVE! After a traumatizing soccer camp last year, we decided that contact sports probably aren't for Samantha. I told her a few months ago that I had signed her up for dance w/ Amy and Kyah and she said "NO!" but Amy was very excited. Then she finally started coming around and when we got their leotards, that was the kicker....she was ready. Now that is all they want to wear. They were prancing around outside for hours before it was time to go to class.

Practicing her ballet moves.
Oh such grace!
C'mon Mom! Let's go already! So, since they were anxious, we were the first ones there and they got to watch another little girls' class.Sometimes, Amy gets a little distracted. And can I tell you that I just laugh the whole time because she is hilarious. They do a lot of following the leader.Free style dance--I think someone likes their picture taken!Samantha acting like a seal.Amy acting like a walrus.

I think next time I'll have to get a video, just so you can all laugh!

Before Hallie Learned to Crawl

Now she is all over the place, but this was the start of it all--food! I absolutely love her laugh at the end when she finally gets the puff!

Labor Day and Amy's first day of Preschool

On Labor Day, we went and had a picnic up at the falls. This time Amy wore her swimsuit because last time her skirt was soaking wet.

The girls love the water, even if it is frigid!
Tuesday was Amy's first day of preschool. She only turned 3 a few weeks ago, so I was a little worried about how she would handle it.

All ready to go!My school girls!

Skipping with daddy to school. She actually did really well and told Brandon that she loved it. That makes me happy!

Samantha's 1st day of Kindergarten

Does anyone even blog anymore? I feel like I've let mine go by the wayside. But, I'll try and catch up a little. Samantha started Kindergarten about a week and a half ago. Her biggest concern was how she was going to get on the swing and who was going to push her. We went to orientation the day before and met her teacher and found her classroom.
Outside of school.
Meeting Miss Smith. She was the one that did the placement test for Samantha. I was really glad that Samantha got her for a teacher. I waited there while Samantha did her test and was crying in the corner because she was doing so well. Miss Smith told me that usually the tests didn't take as long as it did w/ Samantha, but since Samantha knew so much, they just had to keep going to see how much she actually knew. That made me choke up even more.

Amy wanted to go to kindergarten too.
Finding our place to line up in the morning.
The Big Day!
She is ready to go. I can't say the same for me!

Skipping to school--a daddy/daughter tradition.Waiting in line.Miss Smith pinning on her nametag.
Waving good-bye.Me spying on her! I made it through without crying, but totally lost it the 2nd day in the car in front of my mother-in-law and Brandon's Grandma. How embarrassing! Samantha loves kindergarten and I'm so happy for her.
