Blake and Shawna came out for their Spring Break and we didn't miss one minute of time playing while they were here! Shawna and I started out the morning by getting facials, and then we headed to the Hogle Zoo. There were tons of baby animals that were new since the last time we were there. I think the baby elephant was just about the cutest thing I've ever seen.

Mamas and their babies!

Here is a mama tiger and her 3 baby cubs. I think they must have sucked the life out of her because she looked really skinny.

Little baby giraffe.

Waiting in line for the train ride.

The next day, we had a cousin potluck at our house. The kids were running all over and my walls got some fun new drawings on them!

We like to eat and play games!

The next morning, we headed down to Zion National Park. It was perfect weather and I finally got to soak up a little sun. We even went swimming in an outdoor pool in MARCH!

Grandma strapped Hallie to her back and I got to carry Amy on my shoulders. This is before our first hike to Lower Emerald Pools.

Lower Emerald Pools.

Samantha was such a trooper--I was so proud of her!

On the hike, you get to walk behind a waterfall. Well, a gust of wind came and Amy and I got soaked. She wasn't too happy!

Then we hiked to Upper Emerald Pool.

It was cold, but beautiful.

Amy and I brought up the rear of the hikers, so she had her own little photo shoot.

After a long day, we chowed down at the restaurant and then went swimming in the pool and spa.

The next day, we hiked a short but beautiful hike to Weeping Rock.

Amy was pretty much done with hiking at this point, so we got out the double stroller and put the 2 youngest girls in and the plopped Samantha on the top. We were quite the sight and got a lot of looks. The last thing we did was the riverbed walk. Don't be deceived by its name. There were some steep hills and pushing the stroller proved difficult, so we made a train--Shawna or I pushed the stroller and then the other person would push their bum up the hill. It actually was very helpful!

Here is the start of The Narrows. One day I will actually get to do this hike without my kids. The river sure looked cold though!

Hallie tested out the water. Yep, it was cold.

The weather was 75 degrees and BEAUTIFUL, and on the way home we hit a huge windstorm that lasted the whole way. The next morning I woke up to snow and strep throat. I should have stayed in Zion!
