Valentine's Weekend 2010

We celebrated Valentine's Day all week long!Amy all decked out before her pre-school party.
Samantha's was the next day.
The day after that, Brandon and I went on a hot date to the Valentine's Dinner & Dance at Thanksgiving Point. We got a babysitter and the girls had a heart shaped pizza.
I even got a new dress and shoes. I cannot remember the last time I bought something for myself!
Dinner was yummy and then came this treat. One bite and I was gone! It was way too rich, but the chocolate covered strawberry was divine. Everyone else that ate this was on a sugar overload.
Aren't we cute??

There was a live band and a wide age span of people. So we got a lot of 70's music and even the grandmas and grandpas were rockin' out! It was so fun.
Brandon had this box waiting at our table for me when we arrived. It was filled with flowers and chocolate covered strawberries. He's so sweet.
And we waited an hour in line to get a our picture taken, only to find out it was in a little photo booth. Oh well, we still had fun!
The next day was actual Valentine's Day, so I set out the girls presents for them to see in the morning.
They get so excited for every holiday--especially Samantha.
We had heart shaped pancakes for breakfast with heart swirly straws.

My cute girls.
3 little Valentines.

And to top it all off, we had a candle lit dinner at home with the family. Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Amy Cuts Her Hair.

This is what happens when mom is sick in bed and Amy finds the scissors.
Samantha came and told me, "Mom, Amy did a really bad thing." I went down to the toy room and not only is there My Little Pony hair everywhere, but her hair was everywhere too.
It was so uneven, I had to chop it all off. I never thought my girls would do this to me, but I should have known better.
At least she's still cute. Afterward Samantha told her she was beautiful and looked like Snow White. What a sweet sister.

Dance Recital

The girls were in a creative dance class this past fall and their Christmas recital was at the beginning of December. Let me just say that Samantha and Amy were complete opposites in the class--Samantha took it very seriously and was super graceful and flexible. Amy could have cared less and pranced around the room, only paying attention half the time and waving to me the other half. I think I probably laughed just about every class. They were so excited the night of their recital, but also a little bummed because the original place they were supposed to perform got double booked and so the recital ended up being at the rec center. Samantha was sad there wasn't a stage, but they were still very entertaining!
Getting ready to go!

They got to take the class w/ their 2nd? cousin, Kyah, and they all had so much fun.

Pretty ballerinas!

Samantha Turns 6!

Birthday Girl!
Finally got a new bike that fits her!
Going to Daddy/Daughter breakfast.
Cousins stopped by! Who's that weirdo in the background?
1st birthday cake.
Lost her top tooth an hour before her party. This is the 2nd tooth she lost this week; 4th overall.
Littlest Pet Shop Party. We had animal crackers, puppy chow aka muddy buddies, rabbit food (cheetos that looked like carrots) Kitten Kaboodle (Goldfish) and Fish Food (gummy worms).
We played all kinds of crazy games. This one the kids had to eat their dog food using just their mouths.
At the end of their treasure hunt was this Lion Pinata that took a long time to finally bust open. Thank goodness for Ayzha and her strong muscles!

Then it was time for presents and cake.

Hi friends!

We had so much fun! Happy birthday Samantha!

Christmas 2009

Christmas this year was filled with lots of laughing, puking, game playing, puking, date nights, puking, girl's outings, teething, and more puking. We made the 13 hour drive to Washington (sad to say I drove the whole way because Brandon lost his glasses, which were later found under a bed of snow in our front yard, and his license was expired.) It was a long trip and we were very excited when we finally made it. That Sunday we went to church and then I made Cafe Rio for everyone for Joe's birthday party. Shawna then planned the girls a fabulous day at the spa where I got an hour massage followed by an hour pedicure. I was in HEAVEN. The next day, we took the older girl cousins to see Princess and the Frog.

As you can tell, apparently it wasn't a very popular movie. Maybe that's because it has this crazy voo-doo guy in it and I had to cover the girls' eyes for half the movie! Oh well. We still had fun.

Christmas eve, we went to the Fullers. This was after the stomach flu had taken out most of the house. Little did we know that it was still lingering and we would pass it on to some poor unsuspecting family members. Sorry everyone. Here's Jenny and Sawyer.

And we had like 10 Mary's in the Nativity. That's what happens when there's lots of girls!

My poor baby was so miserable the entire trip. Not only did she have a cold and the stomach flu, but she was getting 6 teeth at the same time! She's still pretty cute though.

Best Buds. This was right before Uncle Scott climbed up on the roof and started stomping. Shawna said, "Oh my gosh it's Santa!" and I've never seen any kid run so fast to bed. Poor Amy was so scared, she went straight to her room and hid in her sleeping bag.

Christmas morning, we let the girls open up their stockings first.

Brandon did stockings for everyone.

Oh look...a present to Brandon from Brandon. He was OUT OF CONTROL this year and took all of his Christmas presents at the beginning of December. This one he bought himself and it was delivered to the house when he wasn't home, so I hid it and wrapped it up for him so he could at least get something on the actual day.
This is my all-time favorite little girl coat. I wish they made one in my size.
Amy was excited for her Belle dress-up.
Brandon's mom made all the kids scrapbooks of their childhood until they got married. Very cool present.
The Aftermath.
Checking out all the loot.
Cute Taryn in her tu-tu. Grandma got all the grand-daughters tu-tus in different colors. They were a hit for sure. Despite all the sickness, we were so glad to see everyone and we had so much fun! Everything is better when you're with the ones you love.
