Amy goes to Kindergarten!

The day finally arrived! Amy is a Kindergartener!
She was waiting all morning to finally get to go to school.
We finally arrived and waited in line with her friend, Claire.
Then it was time to go to class. This look says, "You're coming, right, Mom?"

She found her spot on the rug with her name
And we listened as the teacher read a story and poem about the first day of school and leaving mom and dad. Stupid teacher. I was doing just fine and then she had to go and make me cry.

Samantha and Amy got to ride the bus home together which was really nice and reassuring.
Samantha was such a great big sister today--she even played with Amy at recess.
In Amy's words, "It was AWESOME!"

Samantha goes to 2nd Grade!

Getting ready
Samantha has been waiting for this day all summer long. She is one of those kids that just loves school and couldn't wait to go back. I, on the other hand, am not like most moms, and I didn't want her to go! We're just a weird bunch I guess.

Coming home
2nd Grade is awesome!
Stay tuned for tomorrow when Amy goes to Kindergarten!

Amy turns 5!!!

With all of our busy summer, Amy's birthday snuck up on me. I looked at the calendar and noticed her birthday was the following week. Aahh! So I quickly put together a Littlest Pet Shop Party and invited all her friends from church. Thankfully most of them came and we had a blast! Here she is in the morning, in her new birthday dress and going to birthday breakfast with Dad:

And here's some chubby goodness for your viewing pleasure
Shawna and Leah came up to help celebrate and made this great Littlest Pet Shop birthday cake.
Poor Amy had been celebrating all afternoon before her party started and got too cold to play when all her friends finally got there.

But everyone else had a blast! Here's Hallie going down the waterslide:
And what is more fun than a sprinkler under the tramp??
Presents!!!

Hallie and her cute friend, Emilia
And since we had a house full of girls, of course we had a dance party!
And then we went to Red Robin for dinner--yummo!

Amy happily ate her ice cream sundae--even though she was full.

Happy big 5 little Liz!
