Mini 174th Ward Girl's Night Out
Stacy Clark was in town, so a bunch of us from the BYU 174th ward that still live in the area got together for a girl's night out. It was so much fun to catch up. We went to Los Hermonos and then right next door to the Gelatto place.Sara, Olivia, Cyndi, Kat, Me, Adrianne, Stacy's sister-in-law, Stacy, Jen, Dianne and Lucille.
Kat's baby, Oscar, and Hallie. These cute babies are just 3 days apart. Almost everyone there was either pregnant, or just had a baby.
Fun times ladies!

Samantha's Birthday...A Month Later
It was Samantha's golden birthday this year, turning 5 on February 5th and she decided she wanted a Tinkerbell party.......and she wanted everyone she knew to celebrate with her, so we had 16 of her closest friends at my house at the same time! Crazy, but fun.
We played pin the wand on Tinkerbell, duck duck goose, castle toss, hide-n-seek and lots of other games.
Amy wasn't the biggest fan of the games!
Listen to Brandon's singing at the beginning!Angela and my brother, Derek wanted lots of frosting! i think Hallie is being held by someone different in each picture--who can resist her chunkiness?

Thanks for coming everyone and making Samantha's day!

Hallie's Blessing
We sure had a houseful of friends and family this weekend! The last ones went home today and I am sitting in a quiet house not knowing what to do. We had so much fun seeing all of you and we are so thankful that you were able to share Hallie's special day with us.February is a big birthday month in our family, so we sang Happy Birthday to Samantha (5th), Blake (7th), Dylan (18th) and my mom (19th).....and a big shout out to Taryn on the 12th! Anyone else???? Happy Birthday to you!
They each got to only blow out 1 candle, although I'm pretty sure Samantha and Dylan took care of them all.
Almost all of the Peterson clan--we miss you Joe & Jana!
Sexy ladies.
My girls.....
Liberty Square friends--love these people. And special thanks to Brent & Molly who came and surprised everyone! We miss you guys.
Huff & Tasha
It was a long day and daddy and Hallie decided to take a much needed nap!
Dylan is trying to wear glasses like Samantha!
Happy Grandma with Sawyer and Hallie!
Thanks everyone for coming, especially for those that had to travel so far! We love you!

Samantha's New Look
How cute is she??? Samantha started going a little cross eyed a few months ago, so we took her to the opthomologist 2 days ago and he said she has a normal amount of far-sidedness for a kid her age, but decided to have her try glasses to help her eyes uncross. If that doesn't work, then she will have to try a patch and if that doesn't work (which we are PRAYING that it does) then she will have to have surgery to re-set her eyes. She really only goes a little cross-eyed when she's talking straight to you. The eye exam was hilarious because the doctor was covering one of Samantha's eyes and then asking her what letter she saw and Amy kept blaring out all the answers. She was just trying to help her big sister. We think Samantha looks pretty dang cute in glasses. Why can't mine be that fashionable?

Hi from Hallie
I'm 2 months old!
Height: 23 1/4 inches --75-90 percentile
Weight: 13lbs 9 oz -- above 97 percentile (we love the chubbs!)
Head: 39 1/2 cm -- 75th percentile
I smile, coo, sleep, eat and poop and I'm sure happy! Fat babies are always happy, right? Here is my new baby cousin, Sawyer:
Isn't he cute? I got to see him in the hospital in Idaho and I kept hitting him in the face. I'm bigger right now, so I had to take advantage because I'm sure he'll pass me up.
Our mommies are sure cute.
And my sisters too.
That was way too much talking...time for a nap!

A Little Perspective
I am so grateful for the Gospel. I just found out that my grandpa died a few hours ago. He has been on hospice for about a year and has been battling cancer and has had heart problems for some time. He lived longer than his doctors ever thought possible. My grandpa never went to church and never let my grandma go through the temple. With his passing, although it has me somewhat saddened, I am excited for the temple work to be done for my grandparents. Families truly are forever and I don't know how anyone handles death that doesn't believe this to be true. I know that I will see my grandpa again. I am so grateful that I will be able to spend eternity with Brandon and my beautiful children. I think times like these strengthen my testimony to remember where we came from and where we are going. Along with this death, a new life is also coming. One of my best friends, my sister-in-law, Erin, is going to have a baby in a week. She happens to live in Idaho, where my grandpa's funeral is going to be. So while I get to say good-bye to my grandpa, I also get to say hello to my new nephew. Love every minute you get to spend with your family. Sometimes it may be hard when your kids are screaming or tearing up the room you just spent hours cleaning. Life really is short and it will all be over too soon. Tell someone today how much you love them.

Bring on the Chubbs!
Tomorrow Hallie will be 6 weeks old. I can't seem to stop time from going so fast! Both Samantha and Amy doubled their birth weight by the time they were 2 months, and Hallie is trying to make her mark too! She's about 11 pounds right now and sweet as can be. I'm so lucky to get such great chubby babies! Look at this tummy.....Today was the first day we brought her to church, and we actually stayed the whole 3 hours. Hallie could have cared less though because she slept through the whole thing. But she wanted to show everyone her dress:
And Amy did too!A week ago, our friends Bill & Beka were in town from Sacramento and we had Jason & Dianne over and all played pinochle. It was really fun to hang out with everyone! And Samantha took this picture all by herself.....
And on a side note, I just started facebook this week and have kind of become addicted, but it is taking so much time! I'm just curious....for those of you that have both facebook and blogs, which do you like better?
